5-7 October, Stokholm:
6-th Baltic Sea NGO Forum under the auspices of Council of he Baltic Sea States (CBSS).
The organizer of the
Forum from the Swedish side is the Swedish focal point – Forum Syd, being a structural division of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
Participants of the
Forumare NGOs, representatives of the Baltic international organizations, authorities from 11 countries of the region.
The participants have an opportunity to discuss issues specific for their countries, as well as common problems for the whole region, in 4 thematic sessions:
1) Civil security
2) Discrimination and Social Inclusion
3) Environment and Sustainability
4) NGO Legislation, Legal Security and Civil Society.
The
Forum discussions will result in adoption of the final document – Conclusions, which will be presented to the head of governments of the CBSS member-states.
St.Petersburg “Strategy” Center is responsible for preparation of the 4th session on NGO legislation. Participants from the Center at the Forum are M. Gorny and L. Proskuryakova.
